Wow I can’t remember when I last posted an image like this… well that’s a lie straight off because I can just check my website and see, and oh it was August last year. But come on that was 5 months ago! I was just checking my archives and apart from some portrait work and Malahide Castle and Gardens I actually have not had the 100mm Macro on the Camera since March last year. That’s incredible when you consider it was practically stuck to my camera in previous years. But then if I am honest I think the huge volume of this type of work I produced for the Malahide Castle and Gardens commission, mainly with this lens kind of tired me out a little

So with this I found it incredibly refreshing to step outside with just my camera and 100mm Macro lens, no tripod, no filters, no bag. Nothing but the camera… and wander. And as often happens at these moments, I ask myself “why don’t I do this more often?”. Well John maybe I will, maybe I will
