After a brief interlude last week it would seem I am back to speaking about returning to old haunts. This time however we are going way back in time. The last

After some recent posts describing my return to a number old locations, today I wanted to bring you an image from a location I had never visited before. Cloghleagh woods is located in Wicklow and is not far from Blessington lakes which was the location of the image I shared with you a couple of weeks ago.

I was absolutely stunned by Clogleagh woods when I arrived. Indeed I shared a couple of iPhone snaps on Instagram during my time there, including sitting down with a nice cuppa coffee. The woods could only be described as lush bedecked as they were in a rich vibrant spring green. The only sound was the gentle river running over tiny little waterfalls. In fact the entire morning I was there I did not see another soul. I had several hours of blissful solitude.

I came away with a number of compositions I was happy with and thought I would share this one with you today. There are times I wish I travelled with wellingtons and this was definitely one of these occasions. With the camera set on a tripod with the lens mere inches from the water I was doing my best to keep myself out of the water… and failed miserably. Thankfully I have learned my lesson from past outings and always travel with a spare pair of socks 🙂
