Memories of Winter Past

The last of the winter snow clings to a withered leaf. Click on the Image to see a larger version, and to purchase/license.

As we begin to head into Autumn I thought it would be interesting to look back over my Autumn/Winter catalog. We rarely get snow here in Dublin but last winter proved the harshest in over 30 years, with heavy snow that lasted for months. The country was brought to its knees, so unprepared as we were for the cold front.

However it’s not all bad as it provided some brilliant photographic opportunities. I have posted a couple of image from that period already both detail and vista. This image captures though the essence of those final days of winter.
