Rights Managed licensing means that permission is granted for a clearly defined use, agreed in advance. Each licence is tailored to the specific project and is based on factors such as how and where the image will be used, the type of media, duration, geographic reach, distribution, and any exclusivity required. Fees are set accordingly.

A Rights Managed licence:

  • Covers the agreed use only
  • Does not transfer copyright
  • Requires further permission if the use changes or expands
